Hello again everyone, sorry for not keeping in touch last week but things have been really busy around the office lately. Many of you may have already received our newsletter which went out this morning, so you probably have seen our newest addition to BlogCatalog.
For those of you who don’t know, in a move to help bloggers promote their blogs we have teamed up with the Blogger’s Choice Awards. Now, if you are part of the Blogger’s Choice Awards, you can add a voting button to your blog page on BlogCatalog!

The Blogger’s Choice Awards is a website website dedicated to highlighting blogs that are making an impact on the blogosphere. As their website states, not only can you nominate your favorite blogs but you can also vote and comment as well. This year’s Blogger’s Choice Awards competition has already begun but fear not, the voting doesn’t end until October 19th.

The best part is that winners in each respective category will be recognized at their award ceremony on November 10th 2007 at PostieCon in Las Vegas and will also be posted on the bloggerschoiceawards.com website.

If you haven’t signed up already then head over there now and get started, there’s still time to email your friends and family and get in as many votes as possible before October 19th. Its still anyone’s game!

Also, if you make it to PostieCon look around for the BlogCatalog Team as we plan to be there mingling with other blog lovers. If you see us please come by and say hello, we are looking forward to shaking hands and getting to know you guys and galls face to face.

In other news, I am working every chance I get on the updated site design. Its not a Full Blown re-design just a little tweaking of the current layout to clean up the old code and to streamline the navigation process. Most of you daily users shouldn’t have any problem easing into the new look as the layout is fairly similar. This new look has really given us a chance to re-organize some of our features and introduce some new ones as well.

Seriously, if you have some feedback or ideas for BlogCatalog this is the time to speak up, I saw some really great feedback a few days ago in the discussions and we are working on incorporating as many as possible. Look forward for the updated look to be rolled out in the next week or two.

Well first off, thanks for the kind comments on yesterdays post. We got a lot of really great feedback and some excellent suggestions for the website. A couple of you must have access to our top secret files because between the comments on that last post and the comments made on our discussions section a couple of you suggested some items that are already in the pipeline.

We take every comment, suggestion and criticism very seriously as each voice is a push towards making BlogCatalog a really valuable resource in the blogosphere. Seriously guys, keep those suggestions coming. We discuss and evaluate every single idea and try our best to add as many as possible.

Like I mentioned yesterday we are working on some exciting new stuff, hopefully by next week I can start telling you guys about them and maybe link you up to some top-secret sections of our website so you can beta-test them out for us.

Welcome to the first post on our all new BlogCatalog Blog! It has been bugging me for months that we are BlogCatalog and don’t even have a blog of our own so we finally found the time to make it happen.

First and foremost I want to thank each and every one of you who visit our site. As many of you may or may not know BlogCatalog has been around for a while but we (the new management) recently purchased the website a couple of months ago and have been making improvements ever since. The response in the blogging community has been amazing thus far and the website has been growing at an amazing rate! The website has seriously broken all expectations for what we were originally hoping to achieve and the success has only made us even more excited to add more and more!

Now that we have this blog we have a chance to keep you guys updated and get even more feedback for you on how to make the site even better. Seriously, this is YOUR website bloggers! If there is a feature you want to see or something doesn’t sit right with you then let us know! We encourage any and all communication because we really want bloggers and the BlogCatalog community to shape the future direction of the website.

We have some cool stuff on the production line right now, don’t know how much I can mention right now but I am pretty sure I can say that we are working on cleaning up the layout, adding some premium membership accounts, teaming up with some other blogging websites, and working on a few other special features that you should see rolling out in the next few weeks.

It’s an exciting time and we love the support we have gotten so far, I am really excited about this blog and look forward to picking out some of our more popular users each week and doing a little spotlight on people we thing really make our community special.

This is only the beginning so keep visiting because the best is yet to come!
